The work deals with the felt quality of experience in the lived moment. Not only as a goal in itself, but because every moment belongs to a lifelong series in which beauty and richness are interspersed with experiences already felt (warm, cold).

This textile work wraps up many things. It is the result of an internal conversation. A summary of the things I have worked with. It rolls out like the passing of the days.

Daybreak is very important in this work. The time before sunset is a kind of waiting time. A time when things are less defined and quiet due to the lack of shade. 

The work is also about opening and closing. Show and hide. And about the process of separation and becoming one. About the breaking of colors and different light shades. 

The way the yarns are dyed is a technique I especially designed for this piece. The yarn is wrapped around a ball before dyeing. The ball is painted in different natural dye baths (indigo, reseda, marigold, walnut). In the process, the ball tilted it several times and was transported to another dye bath. The result is a naturally painted sphere that somewhat resembles celestial objects. The yarn: A human coded thread.
