The designs for this series come from the book “Book of Love, Book of Fuck, Ola Linea, The Self Striping Stripe”. A series of 26 woven images about creation, weaving, and change.

20 sets, signed and numbered. Design artwork Maaike Gottschal, technical design, and production KLEE Handwoven.

1 kitchen towel 50 x 50 cm
55% linen, 45% cotton.
Warp: Linen from the linen project harvest year 2019* (silver and white) 16/2
Weft: slub cotton from the leftovers of the European textile (spin and weaving) industry (Kobor).
Finishing: handsewn hem

1 dishcloth 30 x 30 cm
55% linen, 45% cotton.
Warp: Linen from the linen project harvest year 2019* (silver and white) 16/2
Weft: slub cotton from the leftovers of the European textile (spin and weaving) industry.
The dishcloth has a blue naturally dyed indigo stripe in the middle.

1 tea towel 50 x 50 cm
100% linen.
Both warp and weft: Linen from the linen project harvest year 2019* (silver and white) 16/2. The tea towel has a selvage with a double blue stripe dyed with natural indigo*.

*This “two stripe” is an ode to Johan Cruijff. And should be seen as a label (manufactured by Textielfabrique).

*Kobor is the company of Koos Koopman. As a representative of textile yarns, Koos Koopman visited happy spinning mills weaving mills in Europe. When many of those factories stopped producing, Koos started the remnants of this textile industry own. 50,000 kilos of European textile heritage is now his trade.
